Morton “Mort” Harloe 95, formally of Woodridge, IL and Willowbrook, IL. Passed away on October 1, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Rose, and two children, Richard S. Harloe, Stacey L. Harloe-Mowery (Bret A. Mowery) He was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law and friend to all who knew him. Mort was born on Nov. 26, 1920 to Julius and Gussie Horowitz in Brooklyn, NY. He was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Peter Horowitz, Blanche Hirshbaum, Pearl Rubens, Selma Morgenstern, Silvia Shulman, Gloria Gluckin and Herbert Harloe. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins who always relied on Mort for the family stories and history. Sergeant Morton Harloe was a decorated WWII veteran from the Timberwolves Infantry where he received a bronze star medal of honor. Mort loved his family, travel, dubbed “Mr.Fix-It” and perfecting his sour pickles. His guidance and wisdom was cherished by many. You loved life, were loved by all, and will be in our hearts forever.
